Ocean is a graduate from the Natural Sciences Tripos at the University of Cambridge, specialised in biochemistry. Her passion for protein kinases and signalling systems has grown with her internship experiences in the Sainsbury Laboratory, Cambridge University, and now she hopes to use another of her passions: an evolutionary mindset to understand the reproducibility of molecular mechanisms that enable proteins to evolve novel functions.
